At the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona the mobile phone companies are taking off the wraps from their latest models and in the same attempt, ZTE has announced its flagship smartphone called ZTE Grand Memo that comes packed with top of the shelf specifications and capable of delivering phablet experience. With thickness of just 8.5mm the phone has a slim profile and sports capacitive touch screen that measure 5.7 inches in size. Though the resolution count of the display is not yet revealed but with 16M color support and multi-touch feature it will deliver decent content quality.
Under the hood comes loaded the Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that is clocked at 1.5GHz along with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version of the OS and Adreno 320 GPU. The software of the device comes along with the OEM skin by the company which is coupled along with Mifavo User Interface to offer impressive smartphone experience. Various new touches are added by the company on this handset for the convenience of the users. Now instead of pressing the button of power to wake up the handset, users will have to simply tap and hold the display for few seconds or perform the pinch out gesture.
On storage aspect, Grand Memo features 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and support external memory expansion by up to 32GB so that there is space for all your data. For capturing all your special moments in the form of crisp and clear images a 13MP camera comes packed with the handset that also features face detection, touch focus, LED Flash, AF, Geo Tagging and 1080p video recording at 30fps. 1 MP of secondary camera for enabling video chatting is also present. The multi-format music player of the phone along with rear facing speaker and Dolby Digital Plus technology offer impressive sound quality to the users. Z Cloud services by ZTE are also offered on this model which provides additional connectivity through support to MHL and DLNA. The ZTE Assistant app of the phone will provide security as well as power savings whereas its ZTE Drive offers navigation services.
The phone will be fueled by Li-ion 3200 mAh of battery that is expected to provide good back up in terms of standby time and talk time. Additional specifications include GPRS, microUSB 2.0, EDGE, WiFi a/b/g/n, HSDPA , Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor, compass, video player and others. ZTE Grand Memo is expected to be available from second quarter of his year but details regarding its price and country wise availability is not yet revealed.
