Sony Xperia L Mid-Range Android 4.1 Smartphone Unveiled Officially – Specs, Features & Price

Sony Xperia L is one of the latest Android 4.1 handset announced by the company that is targeted towards the users who are looking for a device that can offer decent communication and entertainment experience and comes with an affordable price tag as well.  This mid range device can be considered as an apt combination of style and functionality.  Measuring 128.7 X 65 X 9.7mm in size, the handset has a weight of around 137 grams.  There capacitive TFT touch display in the phone measuring 4.3 inches in size and it supports FWVGA resolution of 480 X 854 pixels with 16M colors that is capable of delivering acceptable content quality. The screen also features the touch panel cover glass that is scratch resistant.

One of the most highlighted feature of Sony Xperia L is its 8MP of camera that features the Exmor RS for mobile sensor technology of the company that enables the user to have images with vivid colors and excellent clarity.  Along with images, you can also record 720p videos at the speed of 30 frames per second. The HDR feature of the camera makes sure that you are able to capture clear images as well as videos even in night or in conditions when the backlight is too strong. Other camera features include AF, face detection and LED Flash. A VGA front facing camera for video calling is also present.  With Sony Xperia L you will never miss a chance to capture your special moments as its dedicated camera key will activate the camera within few seconds even when the screen is in locked condition.

Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8230 Dual Core processor clocked at 1GHz and features 1GB of RAM and Adreno 305GPU so as to offer smooth and fast performance experience.  To provide unlimited entertainment experience to the users, the phone comes loaded with various Media Applications of Sony including WALKMAN, Movies, Album and others.  The app of Movies enables the user to have access to more than 100,000 movies and TV programs from the Video Unlimited.  The users can have access to the photos of their Facebook friends and even browse them according to the location with the help of the Album App.  For music lovers, WALKMAN app comes packed with the phone that allows the user to have access to all the music files that has been downloaded and even explore from Music Unlimited that has more than 18 million songs.

Now with Sony Xperia L you can enjoy your favorite piece of music and images on various different devices like Sony’s portable speaker and BRAVIA television sets that are NFC enabled with just a single touch, thanks to the One touch functions of Sony. So no hassle of cables, proper set up and wires to share the content through this phone.  For connectivity the handset comes along with options of WiFi a/b/g/n, standard microUSB port, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G HSPA+, microHDMI, WiFi hotspot, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS with AGPS and NFC.  Sony Xperia L is fueled by 1750 mAh of battery that is said to provide talk time of around 8 hours and 30 minutes and standby time of 498 hours. The STAMINA mode of the battery further improves the battery life for optimum use. Additional specifications of the phone include 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot for facilitating external memory expansion by up to 32GB, accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor, Sony custom UX and others. The phone will be available across the globe from second quarter of this year and will come in color options of white, black and red.  The price details are not yet revealed by the company.
