Rumor has it that Samsung will release a new phone from its flagship of smartphones and right now, such rumor proved to be true with the Samsung Galaxy S4’s pictures leaked to the public and the market together with its specs and features.
The leaked image of the newest smartphone from Samsung sports the newest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software with TouchWiz UI, a 2GHz A15 Exynos 5450 quad-core CPU, 2GB DDR3 RAM and ARM Mali T658 GPU. The phone’s 5-inch 1080p Full HD super AMOLED display is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for strength and has 3 storage options from 16, 32 and 64 GB. Unlike some smartphones which have no slot for microSDs, the Galaxy S4 will utilize an SD card slot up to 64GB. It also has a 4G LTE support, a multi-purpose/dedicated camera button with 13 megapixel rear-facing camera and 2 megapixel front-facing cameras. Its speakers are also placed in front straying from the usual rear placement.
Although the leaked photo sparked curiosity and anticipation within the mobile market, it is still unofficially announced whether the picture is indeed the real Samsung Galaxy S4. The confusion was somehow given due to Samsung’s recently publicized added specs and features which is not seen on its latest flagship phone’s leaked photo. Galaxy S4, which will be officially announced later this year, is expected to carry on the newest chip to power all of Samsung’s flagship devices also introduced by the latter this year which is the Exynos 5 Octa chip. As stated, the phone rather carries the Exynos 5450 quad-core processor which might require a bigger battery to power it up with 3100mAh from 2600mAh.
The phone’s flagship company seems to be preparing for a lush entrance in the market and its overall design is now intriguing the public. While all of its predecessors carry on with a tangible home button, the S4 seems to be lacking with one. The front speakers also seems strange to look at but the stylish and sleek metallic design of the phone seems to compensate for all this strangeness that people might be encountering about. It’s still something to figure what Samsung really means with their multi-purpose and dedicated camera button though we all know what a camera does so. This one feature of the Galaxy S4 might be something to watch for once it comes out of the market.
Another thing to watch out for is that although the phone will come out with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz UI, there are still rumors circling saying that the phone will be using the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie instead. The exact date and month when Samsung’s newest phone will be launched is still undecided. Others have it that the phone will be launched at a later date after the upcoming Mobile World Congress, while some says that it will launch in between April 15 and 22.
What’s for sure is that Samsung will not want to share the spotlight with its latest device and will definitely prepare for the launch of their best selling smartphone successor after the Galaxy S3. For those who can’t wait to see Samsung’s latest Galaxy phone, there is only one thing that you can be sure of. If Galaxy S3 became the best-selling phone of their company during the past year, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will surely be better. Higher prices are also to be expected of the latest Samsung smartphone which is sure to be out sometime later this year.
