The Samsung Galaxy series has been ruling the smartphone market for quite some time now. If sources are to be believed, the South Korean giant is all set to make another addition to the series dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy S4 after the immense popularity and success of Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3. With the new device the company wants to enter the 5-inch market on the same lines as the HTC Droid DNA.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to have 4.99 inches HD Super AMOLED screen with a 1080p display. The screen will have a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 441ppi pixel density which is twice the iphone5’s retina display pixel density. The AMOLED screen will be quite responsive and will make watching photos and videos a pleasure. The device will be powered by 2 GHz Quad-core Exynos 5450 processor that will make multitasking smoother. The Samsung Galaxy S4 will run on android 4.2 JB version and can even be integrated with the android 5.0 key lime pie version.
If the leaks are to be believed then the phone will have a 13MP camera that will also be able to shoot 1080p videos. It will have a 3300 mAh battery that would be sufficient to handle the power requirements of the device. The phone might also be available with 4G LTE technology that will offer speedy surfing experience. One is also expecting a little innovation in the device. The company might include wireless charging support in the device. The S-voice is also expected to improve in the new device as the available versions are not able to match with the Apple siri’s performance.
With that kind of processor and availability of 4G one expects an amazing browsing experience. One can make use of the Samsung Media Hub to download their favourite videos within seconds. The phone is expected to have either 8 GB or 16 GB internal memory that can be expanded to 32 GB with a micro SD card.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 can be expected to be priced anywhere around $750 – $800 in the states. The figure comes from the fact that when Samsung Galaxy S3 was announced, it was available at a price of $800 on amazon for pre-orders. However, the enthusiastic users of the galaxy series can pay a little extra too for the latest device.
Although, there has been no official announcement by Samsung about the phone and its availability, but the Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to release in the second quarter of 2013 following the pattern of the galaxy series wherein a new phone is launched during May or June. A few people also speculate that the phone will follow the release of iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, whatever it will be called.
However, all of this is just anticipation. One will have to wait for the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 to be held in January where Samsung is expected to unveil its new phone.
