Have you ever heard of the word “Phablet”? If yes, and yet you are wondering what its meaning is, then we will tell you. Phablet is basically a phone which can’t be put neither in the category of tablets nor in the one for smartphones. A good example of phablet is Samsung Galaxy Note. Samsung has announced that they are going to add one more member to their Phablet family, and this might happen sooner than we expect. The name of the device will be Galaxy Note 3. This is no surprise to anyone, since the previous two phablet versions, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2 marked really great success.
Of course, since there is no official release date announced by Samsung, people started spreading different rumors and posting various supposedly leaked pictures of the device itself. The first notable thing here is of course the screen size. The initial information was to be 6.4″ but according to the latest “reliable” info it will be 5.9″. Many people believe that the price of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is going to be around 750$ which is completely normal for a phablet of this rank.
But enough with the small talks, let’s get down to the point everyone is anticipating – the specifications and features. Device of this kind should be really powerful in terms of hardware because the people who will buy it will want to boost its performance to maximum. As mentioned above the screen size is expected to be 5.9″ 1080p AMOLED. Now what seems to be really interesting conception is the S-Pen interface which will include more S-Pen applications. The processor will supposedly be Exynos 5 Octa 8-core running on 2GHz while the RAM is said to be 2GB as well. 4G LTE will be supported along with the amazing eye-tracking technology thanks to which you can scroll through pages without touching the phone. And last but not least – 8MP camera.
Samsung’s fans do believe that the phone will be released somewhere around the middle of 2013. The reason for this statement comes, because the last two Phablets – Note and Note 2 were released in respectively in August 2011 and August 2012. However, the only thing we could do is wait and see if the rumors will justify our expectations or why not exceed them?
