Samsung, the leading manufacturer of Android phones worldwide, has just unveiled its music-steeped smartphone named Galaxy Music. Amid the ongoing legal tussle between the Korean electronics giant and Apple, the former, with its Galaxy Music, is taking major strides in the battle for pole position in the highly competitive smartphone market.
The Korean company has released in dizzying succession a variety of gadgets in its effort of providing consumers a broad range of choices and this has largely shifted the momentum in favor of Samsung in terms of total sales volume. The release of Galaxy Music, dubbed as the smallest Android smartphone in the market today, is expected to strengthen their hold of top spot as it now offers an Android smartphone loaded with music-centric features that specifically target music lovers.
The Samsung Galaxy Music, which is an entry-level Android gadget, comes out of the box operating on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is bruited to score high when it comes to top-end music player features and audio quality. Samsung has also confirmed that a dual-SIM variant of the Android smartphone will also be released and this will be known as Galaxy Music Duos.
With the introduction of this music-centric device, Samsung is clearly poised in establishing a strong hold of youth customers. The Samsung Galaxy Music was the subject of rumors and unverified reports for several days prior to the company’s official announcement. It is packed with a variety of enhanced features that target users who love music. These include a couple of front-facing speakers and a dedicated button for easy and convenient access of various video and music playback functions. Other key features of the gadget include Smart Volume, SRS and Sound Alive. The Galaxy Music supports a diverse range of music formats and these include WMA, FLAC, IMY, MID, AMR-WB, eACC+, OGG, WAV, MP3, ACC and ACC+. Additionally, this music-centric gadget has also integrated an FM Tuner that is supported by RDS technology.
The Samsung Galaxy Music boasts of a 3-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It comes with a 3MP camera on the gadget’s back side and powered by an 850MHz single core processor. This is matched by 512 RAM and an internal storage of 4GB. The Android gadget is powered by a 1300MAh battery and this is sufficient enough for a day of uninterrupted operation and with his power source, users can expect continuous music playback for up to 20 hours. Samsung Galaxy music supports EDGE/GPRS, HSUPA and HSDPA connectivity.
The Galaxy Music comes preloaded several enhanced applications and these include Google Search, Google Plus, Google Talk, Google Maps, Gmail, Google Play, ChatON IM. Samsung has not provided any details on the price and launch date of the gadget, but it is expected that these details will be announced soon.
