For a week or so, people started spreading rumors about new device from Samsung. This can’t surprise anyone because we are getting more or less used to the manufacturing speeds of the South Korean technology giant. However, the name of the new handset and supposedly range is expected to be Samsung Galaxy Mega and the thing we would like to pay special attention to, is its display. Galaxy Mega will be equipped with a screen size of 5.8”qHD. The processor will be dual-core, running on 1.4GHz (however, the exact model is not known yet). Thanks to the 1.5 GB of RAM you will be able to handle multitasking without serious efforts.
The characteristics of the camera aren’t something special – the device will come with the two shooting devices – rear-facing 8MP and 2MP on the front allowing the user to lead video conversations with decent quality. Needless to say that the smartphone has everything a user needs, such as Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, GPS.
Galaxy Mega aims more at mid-range markets, rather than high-end ones and the reason for this hide in the low resolution of the screen. If we have to be honest – we expected a little bit more than 960×540 pixels. Due to this fact we believe that Galaxy Mega belongs to middle-range markets! On the other hand, if you are not too pretentious, then Galaxy Mega will meet your expectations for sure. The handset will be running on Android 4.1 JellyBean version so it will have all latest extras.
We guess you won’t be surprised when you find out that the handset is coming with 4.1 JellyBean (of course, it can be easily upped to 4.2 over time). The UI is not something new – Samsung’s TouchWiz is well-known to Android fans.
Other interesting rumor that you might want pay attention to, is the one about bigger version of the same device. And by bigger, we mean 6.3”display. Honestly, this will be a little bit too much, according to our opinion.
