A majority of smartphone developers are trying out a different kind of marketing campaign to promote their devices. They create hype about the device by making a brief announcement or leaking some information. The campaign might be innovative but Oppo extended it a bit too far. The Oppo new high end phone, Find 5 first hit the news in August that apparently claimed it to be the world’s thinnest device that is powered by a quad core processor but there was never any official announcement made. It looked like that the phone only existed in rumors. And when the world was about to forget it, the phone is becoming official in a few days.
Oppo has scheduled a press conference on December 12th (i.e. 12.12.12 which is being considered by the numerologists) in Beijing. The phone is being advertised as a part of the fifth element theme based on its screen size and name.
Oppo Find 5 Specifications
The high-end phone by the Chinese company comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on-board. It is only 6.9 mm thin and has a 5 inch screen with a 1080p display that sets it apart from the other smartphones available in the market right now. The Oppo Find 5 is powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor. With that screen and processor the phone looks alluring. The phone has 2 GB RAM and is expected to be available in two different versions with 16 GB and 32 GB of internal memory. The 2500 mAh battery will offer sufficient battery life.
The 12 megapixel camera at the back enables you to capture all your special moments. The connectivity options of the device include Bluetooth, WI-FI, GPS.
Although, we know so much about the phone already that there is nothing that one should look forward to except the price of the device. Though, there are a few speculations that the 16 GB model will be available only for $478. So, if you are also interested in the smartphone just wait for a few more weeks.
