New Mid- to Low-range Device from Samsung – its Name is Galaxy Core

Recently the market has been flooded by Samsung. Every month we hear news about new devices, and even if the manufacturer has a decent number of handsets in a current niche, this doesn’t mean they can’t unveil a new one in order to fill the segment even more. This step is actually pretty witty having in mind all the competition in the face of HTC and Apple.  With many Samsung devices means that people will surely find the one they have been looking for.

To tell you the truth we don’t really know the type of strategy Samsung is using, but today a new phone was unveiled. The name of the device is Galaxy Core, and as you can guess, it will be added to their Galaxies gamma of mobile handsets. Even though the device is far from a flagship one, it will certainly find its fans by delivering decent characteristics and great performance.

We found out that Galaxy Core is prepared to meet the mid- and low-range market. It will be equipped with dual-core 1.2GhZ, supposedly made by MediaTek. The rear-facing camera will be 5MP and the operating system – 4.1 Jelly Bean. Now what might come as a surprise is the display – it will be 4.3” WVGA, something that we didn’t expect having in mind the fact that WVGA display technology wasn’t recently used.

However, one of the features we would like to pay serious attention to, and probably that makes Samsung think this device is going to be really successful, is the fact that it will come in a Dual SIM variant. Now you don’t have to buy 2 phones and instead of this you can use your Galaxy Core for both your SIM numbers. Plus, they will be active at the same time.

Of course the handset will use user interface TouchWiz Nature and it will have all nice little features such as S Voice, Smart Alert, Smart Stay and all other things a modern phone should be equipped with.

By the way the device will also be offered in “standard” non-dual SIM variant, so if you are not experiencing the need of such extra, then you can purchase this model. However, if you prefer it, you will have to wait until July because it will be released then.  As for the dual-SIM variant – it can already be purchased! There are not officially announced initial markets for the device, but we believe that Asia and Europe are safe bets.
