So what can we expect from Motorola this time. We already know them for build quality. Here are the specifications of the new phone. Most of us have been waiting all month since we got wind of the new phone. Now, we will soon have our hands on it.

It is a full touch screen phone with a QWERTY keyboard. I am sure most fans remember or even have the original Photon 4G. The Q, in the new name, is for the additional keyboard, which slides out.  The new Photon Q is coming with a 4.3 inch HD display. It runs on Android 4.0. Inside, the phone will rely on a 1.5 GHz duo-core processor that will run the Ice Cream Sandwich. Remember, Galaxy S III from Samsung also has the same processor.

Apps will run smoothly on the new Photon Q as it packs 1GB of RAM and has enough storage for your files. There is a whole 8GB internal storage, so those shots from its 8 Megapixel camera will not fill it up just yet. You don’t have to worry about a charger every time you are out of your office or house. The 1785mAh battery will last for 7h 30mins. That is just talk time, standby time is way more than you need. Based on the announcement, it looks like the phone is coming with the upgraded Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 installed.

Hackers and gadget wizards will love the ease of tinkering with the Photon Q. It has a Bootloader that is easy to unlock. We expect the phone to go for $199 on contract or more than that because some competitors to the phone go for the same price range. But price aside, this is a great Smartphone upgrade. You are going to have an easy time with the latest and best versions of Android apps. No more screen freezes and demand for more space. You literally have a boatload.

The HD screen is the right size for watching high quality videos without sacrificing on the bulkiness of the Photon Q 4G LTE.
