It is undoubtedly true that the IdeaTab S2109 was not a perfect device, but its successor, the IdeaTab S2110, changes all that for the positive. The convertible Tab has a large screen measuring 10.1 and ships with a trimmed version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The screen resolution uses a 16:10 ratio and outputs 1280 x 800 pixels, with up to 420 units of brightness coming from the IPS display. Still on the screen, the IdeaTab S2110 will let you use 10 fingers simultaneously, and you can watch videos to a maximum angle of 178 degrees.
On the inside, IdeaTab S2110 sports a Qualcomm 8060A, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, which is an upgrade from its predecessor’s 1 GHz OMAP 4430. Connectivity on the device is available through a micro-USB port, a micro-HDMI port, a SIM card slot, the standard 3.5mm slot for audio jack, and no microSD slots; so, you will have to rely on the internal memory. The new IdeaTab S2110 has 1 GB DDR2 RAM and an option of 16GB or 32GB for the internal storage.
There is a 5 megapixels rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera. You may connect to other devices using the Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi, or use a carrier for internet through WCDMA/EVDO. To make it a convertible, Lenovo has included a keyboard dock that includes a battery pack; so, if you are using this combination, you can get up to 20 hours without a recharge.
The extra keyboard also hosts a full SD slot for additional storage. You can get the full unit starting from $499, or the base model, without the keyboard, at $399. On the design, the IdeaTab appeals to function-conscious users and those who seek a gadget that hosts a sense of style, giving them the power to do everything affordably.
