Leaked Specifications of BlackBerry R10

A couple of articles below we paid attention to BlackBerry R10 and told you that we will do anything to get our hands on some supposed specifications of the device. Well, we finally managed to do this and now we will reveal them.

But before doing so, we would like to remind you that not a long ago BlackBerry announced that this time their flagship device will go under the name Q10. During that time another, yet innovative for BlackBerry’s standards, device was announced – BlackBerry Z10 – which will be the first handset of the manufacturer’s gamma that will lack the well-known physical QWERTY keyboard. The prices of both handsets are expected to be set higher, and due to this reason BlackBerry decided to pay decent attention to all those people who are on a tight budget and are looking for something more of a mid-range kind…and here comes R10.

Lots of people didn’t expect BlackBerry to keep their mid-range series (the previous series of this kind were the Curve line) but yet, if you like these devices you can consider yourself lucky. As every day passes, R10 is coming closer to reality.

And as promised, here are some of the features and characteristics we managed to put our hands on. The QWERTY keyboard will be presented in the device, so you can rest assured that BlackBerry will not cheat on the “default” design. Equipped with 3.1” screen with 720p of resolution the brightness and performance in direct sunlight is pretty decent. The internal RAM is set to 2GB and the storage – 8GB. Good thing here is that BlackBerry’s designers finally realized they need to pay attention to their shooting device and thus, the camera is 5MP with shooting capability of pictures with 2560×1920 resolution. The BlackBerry OS will be 10.1 and the battery is extended to 1800mAh (however, it is non-removable)

Great thing that we spotted is the device will be offered in couple of colors (not only in red, as we supposed in the previous article). You can also get R10 in black, in case you don’t like the “original” color.
