We all know that Apple is giving us a new iPhone soon. In fact, I am not upgrading my phone just yet; I don’t want to be left out of the iPhone offering. So, if you like me or are just interested on the new iPhone 5, do you know what it comes with? Here are the new features that may send you out to get additional accessories. You will need a new cover, dock connector, just to name a few.
In just over a month, you will be getting an iPhone 5 with a different design. We are going to get a device, which is 4 inches and has a unibody aluminum design. If you have seen the latest Mac Book Pro, then you know what I’m talking about.
It seems like Apple does not want anyone in the device unless authorized. You will of course enjoy videos with the iPhone 5 because it will now support 16:9 aspect ratio. This comes after the body size and dimension tweak that will see it increase in length and fit a screen of 4 inches. Still on the display, Apple is keen to wow us with its Retina display. While the iPhone 5 may miss the actual retina as in the Mac, we expect its resolution to match that level of detail.
Other than screen, the size increase will also support a bigger battery that ensures the 4G network does not become a problem. Moreover, consumption will be more efficient as the display is smarter in the new device. Apple has changed the normal Docks used in iPhone 4S. We shall have a new smaller dock, aptly called the “Mini Dock”.
The Mini Dock has less than 19 pins and more than 8 pins. We are just not sure. However, we know, it is something within those numbers. So, whether it is a ten or a fourteen, you must be ready to change your connectors or get some adapters. Apply has confirmed that all future devices like the expected iPad Mini will have smaller Docks.
The best thing to the iPhone 5 is that is will come with iOS 6 already installed. Now that means that, all the upgrades on the strongest iOS apps will be available on the iPhone 5. You shall enjoy a better Safari, Siri and Mail. Social network users will also get the promised native Facebook integration. More apps that are new include the Passbook, which I think will be a very intuitive digital wallet, and a replacement of Google maps. We shall wait and see!
