Physically, the Galaxy S4 is a slim device with measurements standing at 136.6 X 69.8 X 7.9mm with weight of 130 grams.  Looks wise, the phone is smart and decent and the only point of disappointment is its plastic casing instead of polycarbonate.  The BlackBerry Z10 at measurements 130 X 65.6 X 9mm with weight of 137.5 grams is not as slim as S4 but bears smart and stylish looks. The black colored bezel that is present around the BlackBerry handset makes the color on the display stand out. Thus when it comes to looks; it entirely depends on your choice as to which attracts you.

Display

BlackBerry Z10 boasts a capacitive touchscreen measuring 4.2 inches in size. The display of the phone features multi touch and offers 355 ppi pixel density along with 16M colors and 768 X 1280 pixels resolution.  The latest flasgship model by Samsung, S4 simply looks stunning with 4.99 inches of Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen. The display of the phone is capable of delivering bright videos and images with its support to 441 ppi pixels density along with 1080 X 1920 pixels resolution. The display of the Samsung handset is made up of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has low reflectivity so that content appears to be clear even in bright light.  So when it comes to display, the Galaxy S4 model is the clear winner.

OS and Processor

In order to give competition to the high end smartphones in the market, BlackBerry has loaded its Z10 model with the latest Blackberry 10 OS that along with dual core 1.5GHz of processor offers good performance speed and experience.  The latest OS provides good control and swipe to the users. The phone also features Adreno 225GPU and 2GB of RAM.  The processor of Galaxy S4 has already created stir in the phone market. Running on Android Jelly Bean OS, the phone features Exynos 5 Octa 5410 chipset with Quad Core 1.6 GHz Cortex A15 or Quad Core Cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU along with 2GB RAM in the phone enables the user to run all their applications flawlessly and smoothly.

Camera

The 8 MP of rear camera present in BlackBerry Z10 features AF, LED Flash, Geo Tagging and is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.  The 2 MP front camera facilitates video calling along with 720p video recording.  The 13MP camera present in Galaxy S4 is one of its highlighted specification as it comes packed with variety of features so as to enhance your overall photography experience.   Some of the amazing camera features include feature of HD and video recording simultaneously, dual shot, face detection, smile detection, HDR, image stabilization, Story Album, Cinema Photo and others.  A 2 MP front camera for video chatting and 1080p video recording is also made available.

Storage and Battery

The BlackBerry Z10 comes along with 16GB internal memory that is supported by external memory expansion by up to 64GB through microSD card slot.  The S4 model will not let you face storage problems as the handset features internal memory options of 16/32/64 GB and also features microSD card slot facilitating expansion of external memory by up to 64GB when needed.

The BlackBerry model comes packed with Li-ion 1800 mAh of battery that supports talk time for around 10 hours and standby time of 312 hours. The Samsung’s big 2600 mAh of battery is good enough to provide impressive back up.

Connectivity Options

Connectivity in BlackBerry Z10 is provided through standard features of GPRS, microUSB 2.0, EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, HSDPA and NFC. When it comes to S4, the connectivity is more or less same like other high end smart phones of today including features like GPRS, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP+EDR, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, EDGE, NFC, LTE and infrared port.

Additional Features

The additional specifications of BlackBerry Z10 include HTML 5 browser, GPS with AGPS, multi format music player, predictive text input, microHDMI, preloaded apps, password protection, traditional sensors, TTY Support and others. The Phone will be available in Black and White Color.

When it comes to S4, its list of additional features is quite impressive including S Translator, multi format music and video player, barometer, group Play, Smart Scroll, Smart Pause, Air Gesture, Air View, GPS with AGPS and GLONASS, IR LED( Remote Control) and others. The phone will be available in color options of White Frost and Black Mist and will be available in the market from April this year.

Conclusion

If you a BlackBerry fan then the latest Z10 will prove to be a good handset offering features of work as well as play with latest OS, but otherwise, Galaxy S4 is definitely a better choice and a winner between the two with its high end and latest features to offer an all new communication experience.

We guess we caught your interest, right? The display, in fact, is going to use one really great technology that is not that popular – CS Silicon. And when it gets combined with nice TFT LCD display the final result is more than satisfying. This makes the screen more efficient and thinner. Plus, a special battery-saving mode was designed by Sharp promising the phone’s life to last at least 2 days. The last device we saw with similar battery efficient display was again from Sharp – Aquos Tab SHT21.

However, the latest tests showed that despite the great battery – the results are similar to the ones conducted on Galaxy Note II.

The handset is expected to be released at the beginning of July. It will be released to SoftBank – one of the largest carriers. We almost forgot to mention that the camera will be with wide of f/1.9 aperture and 13MP. There is also TV support function and 4G LTE is also included. The default operating system is 4.2.2 JellyBean. And if you take a closer look at the device you will see it is waterproof.

The first thing that we put our hands on is the fact that Samsung fans should expect Galaxy S4 Zoom sometime during this summer. Unfortunately there is no info regarding the official release dates of the other two devices, but we do believe that they will be unveiled shortly after the above mentioned. However, there are some rumors (we recommend not trusting them since the source is not enough reliable) that S4 mini and Active will appear on the market in July.

According to another rumors, the three devices are going to be announced at the same time simultaneously – by the end of this month. If Samsung does this, then the South Korean tech giant will win even more customers on their side. We, on the other hand,don’t believe that this will happen because Samsung tend to wait at least a month between the release of new handsets.

Don’t rush thinking that since the models go by the name S4, they will be expensive and high-end. On the contrary – they will most probably be targeted to the mid-range users. Every device will be better in something that the others. For example S4 Zoom will most probably have a great camera, something, which has been anticipated having in mind Nokia’s latest devices. As for Galaxy S4 Active – it will be rugged without any compromise in terms of design. And last but not least – S4 Mini is, as already seen, compact version of the current Samsung flagship.

However, we want to pay more detailed attention to Sony’s devices because as usual they are great. If you have owned VAIO at least once for now, then there is a high change for you not to want to change it for any other brand. Sony has always been paying special attention to the detail and this is why all their computers look more than great.

Once again – the back-to-school season begins and even though some students are still working on their final exams, we are more than sure that in a month or two an urge for a new laptop will occur. This is at least how Sony sees the things and due to this fact they announced they will refresh their mainstream devices. The first thing that attracted our attention was the fact that they will go by new name – “Fit”. Those computers are believed to replace the well-known and current E-series and some of the T-series as well. People looking for low-end laptops will not be forgotten as well – FIT 15E and FIT14E are going to be made if plastic, so we can ensure you that their price will not be that high.

However, if you want to buy FIT15 or FIT14 there is good news – the laptops can be equipped with SSD hard drive upon request. There are some specifications that are believed to be characterized for all devices – backlit keyboards, 1080p displays, Exmor R webcams which are dealing great in low-light conditions and NFC. The FIT15 model can be bought for 700$ initial price which can be increased in case you want to add SSD and other features. The other Fit-series start from 550$.

As a matter of fact if we judge by the fact that more Asha phones are expected to be released on the horizon, we might say that this segment is actually pretty successful. According to a research most people looking for affordable device will look into Nokia’s Asha since it has everything a user might require from “cheap” phone.

 Nokia’s CEO – Stephen Elop, announced that they are doing their best in order to keep up the good work with their portfolio renewing. It stores plans for innovation among Asha’s products, so there is a high chance for us to be pleasantly surprised by the new models from the gamma of Asha. Said in other words, we will see new models sooner than we expect. The latest device – Asha 210 was equipped with functional QWERTY keyboard and this makes us think that the next generation devices might even come full touch screen.

However, you should not pay serious attention to every rumor you find on internet. One thing is sure – within the next couple of weeks we will witness the entirely renewed Nokia Asha lineup. Let’s just hope that Nokia will not let us down because we have some really high expectations.

Interesting fact is there is no official data regarding the OS so we might expect a surprise from LG – they might not use Android, but this is not highly likely. It is also unknown whether or not LG will make multiple versions of the device. As a whole the details are scarce but at least we know that one more worldwide known tech giant will join the rivalry in the tablet market.

Up to this day the tablet market is dominated by the iPad since it holds more than 40% of the whole market share. Right after it comes Samsung with 19%, Amazon and Asus are following with 3.7% and respectively 5.5%. The real question here is whether LG will manage to fit in the market and beat the competition.

It comes from BlackBerry and its model goes by Q10 – the tradition here is also kept – QWERTY keyboard will be present but this time BlackBerry are aiming at the mid-range market rather than the high-end users.

Actually Windows 8 is gaining lots of popularity. Interesting fact is that you can find more apps for it, than iOS were offering for their devices, when initially launched. This should definitely speak for itself as Windows is trying to become the market leader. It is reported that more than 300 000 apps for Windows 8 were downloaded which can be considered as major success.

So far more than 100 000 000 licenses have been sold, which shows that people are actually paying serious interest to Microsoft’s latest operating system. We have to admit that it is a pretty good move by them to release new software version with improved compatibility simply because it will attract even more customers. As a matter of fact 50% of those licenses were sold by January. The statistics includes devices that are shipped with originally installed version. However, we have to wait a little bit more in order to see whether or not Windows Blue will meet the requirements of all those people out there.

When asked, Apple answered that the main reason because of which they are doing this major change is because they want to bring something for all those people who are keen on their products but yet don’t want to spend a small fortune on a handset. The living proof of marketing success is Samsung because they have been spending some crazy money advertising their latest flagship products such as Galaxy S4 and its predecessor Galaxy S3. As you can see, the results are more than staggering. It is reported that more than $4 billion were spent. This, of course, puts some serious pressure on Apple and thus, the company wants to do something in order to change the current situation.

The main idea that sits behind the affordable iPhone is to beat the competition in some fairly new and emerging markets as China and India. As you know those are the countries in which the low-cost Android devices are dominating. According to some unofficial information the cheap iPhone might cost 330$ without any contract. The reason that caused the delay of iPhone 5S, the affordable iPhone and iPad Mini is probably some pre-production issues.

We do believe that this is a great step from Apple having in mind all their devices up until now. After all iPhones are considered as premium handsets, and now when you will be able to get an affordable variant, more people will be able to get in touch with its technology and OS.

Unfortunately there are no leaked photos or specs so far. The CEO of Acer mentioned that they believe the above mentioned sales plan could easily be accomplished if we take under consideration the fact that Iconia B1 have already been sold 1.5 million times. We want to remind you that the tablet has a new, improved look, better dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM.  Another 1.5 million units are expected to be sold by the end of Q2, so if we do the math we will see that 3 million devices were sold seamlessly. Therefore, selling 10 million might not be mission impossible.

Except for the above mentioned rumors, we found out that Acer is going to shock the tablet market with one more gadget – an 8” device that is currently under work but the director promised that it will be straight competitor to all other brands that are trying to take the leader position in this market. According to our informers, this device will be released sometime around June, so by then we have no other thing to do except to wait and see if Acer is going to fulfill its market mission.
