All New Nokia Lumia 920 Review – Specs, Features & Price

The Nokia Lumia 920 is a Windows Smartphone and has many interesting features. The first thing that anyone lifting it up will notice is the weight. It is a lot heavier than many other phones. It is also 5 x 3 inches in size and so may not fit in the pocket of most pairs of trousers, which could be off-putting for many people as normally phones are carried in pockets. However, it is worth trying it out to see, as some people may prefer the sturdiness of it.  Its design is noticeable as well with its very square corners being slightly rounded. The screen is 4.5” and is gorilla glass. The colour of the phone can be black, white, yellow, red or cyan with matt and glossy options.

It come with a wireless charging feature can be useful, although you do need to plug in the pad that you put it down on. It can be a lot less fiddly than having to push a cable in to the phone each time and will reduce the chances of the phone not being able to be charged because of damage to that socket. If you have used any other Windows phones then you will already be familiar with the home, search and back buttons at the bottom of the screen. The phone also has physical buttons for volume, locking and controlling the camera shutter. It has a 2000 mAh battery, 1Gb RAM and 32GB storage with a Snapdragon S4 processor. One of its main features is the display. This is 1280×768 PureMotion HD+ and means that reading the display is extremely easer with everything being very clear.

The camera is also a great feature of the camera. It is 8.7 megapixels and has a Zeiss lens which means it takes really sharp photos and even when there is low light, can still impress. However, the viewfinder does not give a live preview of what the picture will look like as they are processed so that they are improved when you view them. This means that you should usually get better pictures, but it can be irritating, nevertheless, if you actually wanted a dark picture for atmospheric reasons. The handset comes with a selection of Nokia software such as Nokia City Lens, Nokia Music and Nokia maps. There are also some lends add ons that you can use with the camera.

With all of its features, Nokia has managed to produce a phone which will compete with high end Android devices and maybe even be seen as a serious contender when held up against the iPhone5. The phone is only available as part of a monthly payment deal, the cheapest of which is £36 a month with the phone costing £139.99 but a higher monthly deal of £56 reduces the phone cost to £19.99.
