Alcatel One Touch Idol X Android 4.2 Phone Announced Officially – Specs, Features & Price

The ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona has become a platform for all the mobile phone companies to launch their latest devices and in the same row, Alcatel has also announced its new line up of handsets among which Alcatel One Touch Idol X is one of the latest model.  With thickness of just 7.1mm, it is a slim device that will easily find a place for itself in your bags, purse and even pockets.  The back of the phone has a soft texture which gives nice feeling to the users while holding it. Powered by 1.5GHz of quad core processor, it runs on the Android OS with version 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and features 1GB of RAM.  The capacitive touch screen in the phone measures 5 inches in size and offers full HD resolution count of 1080 X 1920 pixels along with 441 pixel density. The screen also features multi-touch, 16M colors support, accelerometer sensor, compass and proximity sensor.

One Touch Idol X

Alcatel One Touch Idol X will be made available in single SIM version as well as in dual SIM version.  The dual SIM version will come packed with memory of 16/32GB with no option of microSD card slot whereas the single SIM version will feature 8GB of internal memory coupled with microSD card for facilitating external memory expansion when needed.  The handset is expected to come with either 8MP or 13MP of camera so as to capture good quality images. For capturing images in low light conditions, the camera will feature LED Flash and AF whereas its Geo tagging will enable you to tag the images with the location where they were taken.  Along with still images, if you also wish to record the videos, the camera is capable of that as well with 1080p video recording. Secondary camera for chatting is also present in the phone.

The music player of One Touch Idol X supports multiple formats including MP3, WMA, eAAC+, WAV and FLAC so that you can always enjoy your favorite tracks in their original format. For connectivity basic options comes packed with the device including GPS with AGPS, WiFi a/b/g/n, EGDE, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPRS, microUSB 2.0, HSDPA and HSUPA.  Additional specifications include Java support, document viewer, Li-ion 2000 mAh battery, video player, predictive text input, organizer and others.  The phone will be available in multiple color options of black, yellow, blue and red.  The pricing and availability details of the phone are not yet revealed.
