Acer Iconia A1-810 Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Tablet Unveiled – Specs, Features & Price

Definitely one of the major events in the Android world this week was the unveiling of Acer’s latest tablet – Iconia A1-810. A quick review shows that the device is equipped with 1GB of RAM, MT8125 MediaTek ARM Cortex A9 quad core processor, running on 1.2 Ghz, and 16 GB of inbuilt space. The first leaked pictures and information were from France and according to them we can expect the sales to begin by the middle of June. However, there is no official information about the exact release date, but according to many people it will be 3th of June.

If you live in France and are keen on this device, then you will be happy to know it is already available for pre-orders. The price is 260$ – quite affordable having in mind all of the specifications.

One of the reasons because of which the device gained so much popularity is its quality, design and features. You will hardly find better tablet on this price. On top of all, it will come with Android’s latest version – 4.2 JellyBean.

Acer Iconia A1-810 can be considered as Apple’s iPad mini direct competitor, due to its 7.9”touchscreen capacitive display supporting 1024×768 resolution which it is exactly the same as Apple’s. This is known as another reason for Acer’s lower price – the Taiwanese electronics manufacturer wants to beat Apple in the tablet market.

Typically for tablets, there are 2 cameras – rear- and front-facing. The camera on the back is 5MP, equipped with video recording and auto focus. Unfortunately, there is no integrated LED flash. The front camera is VGA but is pretty good for leading video conversations.

Even if you don’t live in France – don’t lose hope. There is high possibility that Acer A1-810 will be released earlier in other countries. However, there is no official news yet, so stay tuned for more updates on the topic!
